Twan Masala (Banjo / Guitar)

Born in the southern Province of Limburg, in a  small town called Kerkrade, I discovered my  love for Irish and Scottish folk music at an early stage. At the age of six, I began to play the accordion. At fourteen I started playing the guitar which was a present from my father. Since then I have tried out a lot of instruments with more or less success. Such instruments as the Scottish  bagpipes, the diatonic button- accordion, the fiddle, the mandolin, the tin-whistle and a few more.Somewhere on  the  way I picked up the 5-string Banjo and until today I  have stuck with it. I play the 5-string Banjo both finger-style and clawhammer-style.
